Cottage Rumble 10 ~ Pretty Pastels!!!!!!

Smiley from millan.net

Are you READDDDDDDDDDDDDY To RUMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMBLE???? Nope, can't resist saying that every time!!!!!! LOL Well, I've got a color challenge for you!!! If you notice the colors in the smilie and that they're babies................that might be a hint!!!!! ;) I tried making a color chart........but with my recent hard drive crash, I don't have the program to do that at the moment..............so.........the color combo is:

Baby Pink, Baby Yellow & Baby Blue. (Hence the smilie!!! LOL)

From Wendi:

How I just love challenges in life. Some challenges in life are so much easier than others. Well Lee's color challenge was pretty simple to work with those colors. The first thing that came to mind was a baby card, but then I wanted to be creative, so I did a friendship card. These days our friends would love a picker upper card. The pink base is shimmers paper. It is always fun to work with, makes the card look more elegant. Then I used basic yellow and light blue paper for background. The stamp I chose was from Delicate Moments and I colored with a variety of pastel colors. I added some half pearls to make the middles stick out. The sentiment is from Tiny Button Baby. Which is going to be retiring soon, get your set before it is gone forever. The satin ribbon just adds to it. Thanks Lee, it was a great challenge. Now I would love to see what you come up with.

From Linsey:

She used the very sweet set, Whispers In The Woods. I know Linsey loves this gorgeous set and had fun creating this to share!!!! Thanks Lins!!!

From Etha:

Lee completely kicked me out of my comfort zone with her color challenge, and I loved it :) Well, after the initial stress of OMG what do I do with this!! I had been pondering making some bookmarks for a while, and here they are:

I used the new textured card stock for both bookmarks and assembled them using corner punches. Now this can be a bit tricky for the bottom point corner. Even though you've gone through pains of getting a good right angle, it still does not want to cut right.... Here is a quick remedy: use a bit of removable adhesive to attach your point into the corner of a larger piece of paper/very thin card stock. Align the corner perfectly, then punch them together. You get a perfect alignment for the corner punch and then just carefully remove your larger paper that helped your punch know what to do. I colored both bookmarks with pencils:

The first bookmark uses stamps from Shadows of Memories and the the stamps for the second one can be found in the set Delicate Moments, both from the Serenity line.

And here's mine:

I am sooooooooo lovin' the new Thoughts Of Joy set............so serene and peaceful........I decided to make an ATC.........I don't make many of these, and yet they are such fun little collector cards to enjoy!!!! I used the bamboo but I couldn't find a paler yellow, so it is a bit bright! LOL I had to use some embellies you know.......so some fun fiber and color coordinated pearls!!! LOL

I hope you enjoy this challenge and play along with us!!!! Here are the deets:

1) Make a card using the above color combination. Upload it to your blog or any other gallery and come back here with a comment and link to your creation so that we all can see!
2) You can use ANY stamps for one entry.

Great samples! I love the idea of using those colors for something other than a baby card. Thanks ladies for the inspiration.
